I can’t recall a single time that I have gone into my local electronics retail store where I haven’t been greeted.  There is always someone stationed at the entrance to greet customers.  They obviously understand the importance of greetings and first impressions.

This immediate greeting does a couple of things from a customer service stand point –

• Makes a great first impression for customers
• Puts customers at ease knowing that there is someone there that can assist them
• Lets customers know that the employees care and are aware
• Creates a positive & friendly customer service atmosphere as you are greeted by a smiling employee
